Results

The 2019 African Triathlon Union (ATU) Standard Duathlon Championships for Senior Age Groupers, Elites and U23 Elites will be held at the Killarney International Raceway on 29 & 30 June 2019.
Age Groupers will race on Saturday 29 June and Elites & U23 Elites will race on Sunday 30 June.

Prize money distribution. Elite/U23 men and women:
1st. 7,250 ZAR
2nd.4,350 ZAR
3rd. 2,900 ZAR

Athletes Briefing:

Age Groupers Race Briefing will be at the race venue on Friday 28 June. (18:00 for Juniors and 18:30 for Seniors)
Elite / U23 Elite Race briefing will be at the race venue on Saturday 29 June at 17:00.

Entry Fee:

Youths: R440 - Juniors: R495 - Seniors: R550 - Elites & U23 Elites: R650

Prize Money:

29,000 ZAR (Prize money will be for the Elite / U23 Elite Race only and will be paid out in rands)

Events on 29 June 2019:
TSA South African National Duathlon Championships for Youths (12-15).
TSA South African National Duathlon Championships for Senior Age Groupers (20+).
ATU African Continental Duathlon Championships for Senior Age Groupers (20+). This will run concurrently with SA Champs.
TSA South African National Long Distance Duathlon Championships for Senior Age Groupers (20+). This will run concurrently with Standard Events.

Events on 30 June 2019:
TSA South African National Duathlon Championships for Para Triathletes.
TSA South African National Duathlon Championships for Juniors (16-19).
TSA South African National Duathlon Championships for Elites and U23 Elites.
ATU African Continental Duathlon Championships for Elites and U23 Elites.

Junior Age Groupers (12-19) from other African Countries are welcome to participate but will not be eligible for SA Championship positions and medals. Top non-South African finishers will receive equivalent event medals.

Local Transportation

The Cape Town International Airport is approximately 20 Km from the Cape Town City Centre and approximately 30 Km from the Killarney Race Track. Hotels will offer shuttle services and Uber is also readily available in all these areas. There is a MyCiti Bus network from the Airport to the City and all the areas surrounding the race venue and you can take your bicycle on the bus for free.
