Since the very first season in 2009, the sport of triathlon has witnessed 10 years of greatness. For 10 seasons, elites from all across the globe have inspired, challenged and motivated the swim, bike and run course. The World Triathlon Series has seen sprint finishes, underdog stories, acts of heroism, natural disasters and nothing but the best triathlon in the world. So, as the 2018 Gold Coast Grand Final approaches, the WTS recognizes and celebrates 10 years and 10 seasons of triathlon. We look back at some of the top moments in those 10 seasons with #WTS10Years!

The 2013 WTS Kitzbuhel race was one of the most demanding courses in WTS history! After the swim, the elites began an ascent of 867 meters over 11.5km of hairpin mountain roads before facing another 136-meter incline on the 2.5km run. Jodie Stimpson conquered this and won the women's race!

In 2018, the small island nation of Bermuda joined the WTS family. The men's race ended up being an unpredictable surprise when young Casper Stornes (NOR) won his first WTS gold, but was then joined by his compatriots and resulted in Norway sweeping the podium and capturing the first WTS men's sweep in history.
